The weather is getting colder, and as everyone knows that means it’s time to hibernate. With endless days at home, you may want to give your living quarters a little lift. We went to the High Point Furniture Market about a month ago, and, based on the wares on display, we have some good news: Happy, optimistic design is back. We spotted color, pattern, and textures everywhere, but in lieu of rainbow brights, we saw spicy hues like persimmon, mustard, and aubergine (because winter is, after all, about comfort foods). Upholstered case goods and woven textured seating will make the items in your home not only feel good but look good, and of course, the new skirt craze in the upholstery world shows that it’s the little, flouncy details that matter.
